Especially older programs are often not adapted to work with multi-core processors. As a result, CPU utilization on newer computers is increasing dramatically. With the free software "Battle Encoder Shirase" you can limit the CPU usage for any process under Windows. Even Linux users do not have to do without a corresponding tool: With the likewise free program "CPU limit" the whole works well under Ubuntu and other Linux systems.
