Hi!
4 GB Ram VPS, how many bots I can install?
I am looking to hire VPS to use for SinusBot. Don't know if I should use VPS or Cloud VPS here? How to choose a reputable VPS service provider?
1.Virtual Private Server
Ensure operating status when maintenance is needed 1 single VPS. When there is a need to reboot 1 VPS for maintenance and repair, other VPSes with a server system will not be affected and still operate normally.
Cheaper. Renting 1 VPS is usually cheaper than cloud VPS rental.
VPS is vulnerable to exploiting security holes. If a VPS website is hacked or installed malicious code, all services and websites hosted by other servers are at high risk of being involved.
The main server resource is divided. RAM, bandwidth, and CPU may suddenly be attracted to 1 VPS when the VPS handles large requests, causing other VPSes to be affected by load time or speed of response.
Only one operating system can be installed on the physical server. This is very limiting for the types of services that need to run the system on multiple Windows, Linux, and so on.
VPS has limited scalability. Storage space is controlled by the initial configuration of the physical server used to run VPS. When you use up VPS storage space, you must either buy new storage capacity or switch to another hosting.
And upgrading or transferring servers can take hours or days to upgrade and move data from one server to another. Amazon used to lose $ 4.8 million just because its server stopped working in 40 minutes, imagine how much the loss would be if your service had to be suspended all day to transfer the server!
2. Cloud Servers - Server using cloud technology (also known by names such as virtual machine, IaaS -infrastructure as a service)
Network configuration and infrastructure are highly customizable - customers using cloud server services can customize their provider requirements to customize network infrastructure, firewalls, load balancing, and processes. deploy IP as desired.
High availability - for VPS, when the physical server has a problem, the services hosted on it are "poor". For cloud servers, due to the nature of combining multiple physical server clusters together, when a problem occurs, the host services on it will simply be relocated to another cluster of physical servers. This happens very quickly, making the services hosted on these cloud servers always in a "ready" state with high availability.
Shared resources in clusters - cloud servers allocate resources for each cluster-based service unlike VPS, help resources RAM and CPU are not cornered when a service suddenly "consumes" more than usual.
The data is completely secure - due to a clear separation of the storage space, if other services on the same cloud-server are infected with malicious code or hacked, your cloud server will not be affected.
Each server cloud can be installed with many separate operating systems
Use storage protocols according to the SAN network (Storage Area Network ). This system helps separate the server from the data storage system. A separate storage system simplifies the expansion of storage space: simply buy an extra hard drive attached to the system when needed
Thank you!

1.Virtual Private Server
- Definition of VPS: a physical server, "virtualized" and broken down into multiple servers with smaller resources. Each server operates separately with the same functionality as a complete physical server.
- Advantages of VPS:
Ensure operating status when maintenance is needed 1 single VPS. When there is a need to reboot 1 VPS for maintenance and repair, other VPSes with a server system will not be affected and still operate normally.
Cheaper. Renting 1 VPS is usually cheaper than cloud VPS rental.
- Disadvantages of VPS:
VPS is vulnerable to exploiting security holes. If a VPS website is hacked or installed malicious code, all services and websites hosted by other servers are at high risk of being involved.
The main server resource is divided. RAM, bandwidth, and CPU may suddenly be attracted to 1 VPS when the VPS handles large requests, causing other VPSes to be affected by load time or speed of response.

2. Cloud Servers - Server using cloud technology (also known by names such as virtual machine, IaaS -infrastructure as a service)
- Defining cloud server: Cloud server aggregates one system and resources of multiple servers into one cluster, combining SAN storage technology - Storage Area Network. Cloud technology makes it possible to expand the infinite data storage space with "flat throttle" bandwidth, automatic load balancing system and scalability regardless of any hardware.
- Advantages:
Network configuration and infrastructure are highly customizable - customers using cloud server services can customize their provider requirements to customize network infrastructure, firewalls, load balancing, and processes. deploy IP as desired.
High availability - for VPS, when the physical server has a problem, the services hosted on it are "poor".
