Okay. I need alot of help.

VERSION: Ubuntu 14.04.3

Me and my friend own a minecraft server hosting company and we need to know how to change the password on the desktop of linux. Not on PuTTy, but on the linux server. We used to have a person who worked for us and did alot for us, and we don't know the password to the linux server but we can login to putty. We need to know how to change it. Please reply fast because I have access to putty and I need to change the linux password.

You have a hosting Company and no know how on Linux? Very very bad. ;)
But to answer your question -> passwd is your command ^^ ... And google works also well.
