Music Download Location

So I sort of understand that the music downloaded through youtube-dl is stored in the data folder with a hashed name or whatever to prevent duplicating and the like. My question though is where are the actual music files stored. As in where on my computer is the 3Mb mp3, flv, etc., file located? They have to take up space somewhere right?

Sorry this may be a dumb question but does the music also get compressed or something? If it's all in the data folder then my data folder should be at least about 15Mb but it's only 5Mb.

no, normally the file should just be uploaded and renamed to the unique hash
