OpenVZ/old kernel

Hi,

My Sinusbot is not running from last 2 days. I tried to update the teamspeak client and also checked the forums for the reasons of these various errors.

1) All the dependencies and libraries are properly installed.
2) I tried to reinstall the application. Already changed the directory path as well but that is not working either.

Version:
1.0.0-beta.5-b262b6a
TS Client: 3.3.2 Ubuntu

Server Version 64 bit. Ubuntu 16.04

Edit: I think I posted in the wrong board, sorry some forum admin can move it to support requests or bug fixes board if I am in the wrong place.

I am tired of trying please tell me if there is any way of fixing this matter.

I have read that post and tried my best to post everything possible. I have also updated my first post and completed everything mentioned in READ ME post.

If anything else is missing please let me know here please I will try my best to fix my post.

Yes I can see the problem too. But when I try to install the new linux kernel version it doesn't work.

apt-get dist-upgrade is not upgrading it.

I also tried adding a new dependency for the kernel upgrade but that doesn't seems to be working as well.

I have already raised a request to my hosting company hopefully they will be able to fix it.

If you have any other way of updating the kernel please let me know.

yes since you use openvz you cant update your kernel, to update your kernel you would require a kvm server

So where do I find the link to download the older version? As this is an OpenVZ type of VPS and I paid for 1 year straight I cannot switch right now, can I get an older version link please?

Hi,

I installed the older version and older teamspeak client. But now I am encountering another problem. The sinusbot is able to connect to all the servers except my own server. I have tried all solutions to fix this issue.

1) The bot is not banned.
2) The server is not illegal I have a sponsorship license too.
3) IP address is okay.
4) I increased identity level to 20 and my server min. identity level is 8 only.

Providing the instance log of the server.

Code:
2020-01-04T15:19:23+05:30 The bot could not connect. This might have several reasons: the server doesn't exist at that address, the server password is wrong, the default channel doesn't exist, the bot has been banned, the server is an illegal installation, the password is wrong, the security level of your identity is too low, the nickname is too short or too long or the server does not allow the version of the client you are using. See our Wiki / Forums for more help.

So I managed to get access to another VPS (IP, hosting company everything changed).

I also installed the sinusbot (same version, same client and stuff)

I made attempts to connect on to my teamspeak server from the other VPS but that too isn't working.

The bot could not connect.

This was the general error coming.

not sure what exactly happens there but atleast it is able to reach the teamspeak server but for some reason the teamspeak server does not allow the connection and disconnects the client, my own Sinusbot Client was able to connect to the server but it has version 3.3.x

My teamspeak server is hosted on amazon AWS. It has a private IP and a static IP. Additionally i am using my domain as my primary address. Now the domain is basically blabla-gaming.in but i am using ts.blabla-gaming.in

ts.blabla is not getting resolved either. Is this information helpful?

Can anyone help me find the solution to this problem? If it was the case of one VPS's sinusbots not connecting to the server I would have thought it might be a problem in the version or something but I tried with different VPS's and no sinusbots are able to connect. My head is about to explode with this shit.

easiest way is to get a vps with kvm or lxc, its not a solution to use outdated versions anyway

Well interesting thing. My teamspeak server is hosted on latest version VPS so its not an issue.

MY Sinusbot: Hosted on openvz. (Unable to Connect). Its able to connect to all other teamspeak servers just not mine.
My TS: Hosted on Amazon server (updated kernel etc)
My testing Sinusbot VPS: Hosted on KVM server. (Even this one is unable to connect to my Teamspeak server) (Able to connect to all other ts servers just not mine.)

This is the thing that is bugging me out. I am unable to figure out a way to fix this mess.

The bot could not connect.
That's not a bug, it's one of those reasons. Go though the list and check every option. People often forget the "security level", using an old TS client might also not work on some servers.

As was mentioned before: using an old sinusbot and ts3 client is not a permanent solution. This will not work in the future when TS servers require new clients and you will also miss out on sinusbot updates. We don't provide support for outdated stuff. Only solution is to move away from hosters that use openvz because their linux kernels are stuck at very old versions.

Security Level is too low: Server security level 8 I increased my Sinusbot client identity level to 20 still not connecting.

Teamspeak server: 3.9.1
Teamspeak Client Version: 3.2.5

If I am missing anything let me know I will upgrade/downgrade my teamspeak server versions (I can't simply upgrade to 3.10 because it doesn't allow any versions lower than this.
I cannot upgrade to TS3 client because my Sinusbot VPS is running on OpenVZ and I cannot simply upgrade it to 3.3 as I paid it for 1 year.

Last reply since (as I said) this is unsupported; I might close the thread.

As mentioned the TS server can force min. client versions. This does not only depend on the ts server version, there is also an option in the ts server database: "virtualserver_min_client_version". Search the internet on how to set it or go to the teamspeak forum, this is not a sinusbot related issue.
